Two years ago, director David Sandberg had to sell his couch and TV to afford food and rent. Now, David's Kung Fury trailer have raised $630,000 on Kickstarter, and he's now competing at Cannes and developing a feature Hollywood film. Oh, and David Hasselhoff recently made a Kung Fury music video that has been viewed over 10 million times. If that's not enough, the 30 minute movie got viewed by over 15 million people within the first week, making it the most viewed movie of all time on YouTube.

The T-post & Kung Fury Story [written by the Kung Fury crew]

Today the creative fashion stuff is mostly happening on the catwalk and only later picked up in the streets. In the 80’s most people did not have access to what was going on at the catwalks and naturally created their own style. This was a very important perspective for David Sandberg when it came to designing the merchandise in relation to the project. He wanted the merch to be fresh and innovative but still keep that genuine touch. The first year of the project David Sandberg had trying to find somebody to that could deliver this touch to the merch but with little success. Then the same day that the trailer was released David Sandberg got a text message from Peter Lundgren, who runs an online t-shirt magazine shop in the same city, with an collaboration idea for the merchandise and David loved the idea.

The next week they meet up and the collaboration that would be the start for a new type of merch was born. We met up with Peter Lundgren the owner of T-Post to ask him about his story, why he joined the project and how he came to collaborate with Tony Arcabascio (founder of ALIFE).

Like I said, I texted David two seconds after I watched the trailer and he loved the idea so we decided to meet. At this time he had already reached his Kickstarter goal and the phone was ringing off the hook from Hollywood. So, I met with David that probably hadn't slept for many days, running on adrenaline and pure joy watching his biggest dream happening right then and there, says Peter

About Peter Lundgren

Peter Lundgren is the founder of T-post. He was born and raised in a small northern Swedish village with a population similar to a medium sized grocery store. Prior to T-post he had an advertising agency that specialized in ethical advertising. He started T-Post as a part of a creativity project from his advertising agency. His idea was to combine stories with a T-shirt where he was able to utilize the attention and commitment accustom to the “fashion world while communicating stories. Peter left his agency and T-post as a company was born giving seed to collaborations with the heaviest names in the streetwear industry.

Because T-Post is about stories and streetwear, collaborations have been a central part of our work but the collaboration part really took it’s peak when we was doing a joint release in NYC together with Eddie Zammit. The release took place at the iconic Jeremyville Studio in NYC and it attracted the elite in the streetwear game. It was there that i meet Tony Arcabascio one of the founders of ALIFE. We clicked instantly, not only personally but also creatively, hence me popping the big question of him coming onboard with T-post to work as writer and creative director together with me, says Peter

Eric Haze is an artist and graphic designer from New York City. During his early years as graffiti writer in the 1970s Haze was tagging the name "SE3" before taking on his more popular identity as "Haze". He has a Haze Brand store in the Harajuku neighborhood of Tokyo, Japan.

Some of his most recognizable design works include the now iconic early hip-hop logos for Public Enemy, EPMD, Delicious Vinyl and MTV as well as album covers for the Beastie Boys and Tommy Boy Records. He wrote the text for the cover of the Beastie Boys' "Check Your Head" album.

He has his own limited edition versions of G-Shock, Nike, and New Balance shoes. Eric Haze also appeared in the seminal documentary Style Wars, photos of his work appear in the book Subway Art.
